Does it have to be a Forge application?

As mentioned in the title, does it have to be a forge integration or can it be a standalone application that has extensions that work with Forge?

I'm asking because I saw a required field on the additional info page for the forge app's ID.

    So does that mean that the game has to be integrated in an Atlassian product or that it can be on an external website, while still using the Atlassian REST APIs?

    Hi there,

    Per the rules, "Entrants must create a working game using Atlassian Forge and REST APIs (each a “Project”). The game must integrate data from Atlassian SAAS offerings such as Jira Software and Bitbucket (“Atlassian SAAS Data”) in fun and interesting ways. Use data elements such as Bitbucket pull requests, commits, and Jira issue statuses to underpin game mechanics in some way. For example, as seeds for random number generators or for procedural generation of game elements."

    Can we get a clear yes or no answer for this question? The copied rule is rather unclear. Does using a REST API is enough, regardless of Atlassian product, or do we have to specifically deploy using Forge, and use Forge API?

    Our plan is to create a fully-fledged browser game hosted on our server, that would use all sort of API calls to Jira and Confluence. Does this meet the criteria?

    Some further questions if I may. If we make a game where most game mechanics are located on an external site, and some smaller portion of it appears in a jira tab, will the whole game be judged, or just the jira panel part?
